We let
Pearl's previous owner name her colt, and they
chose the name SS Doc's Premonition. We've
decided to call him Docster for short, after his
sire's call name. Going by his hip and chest this
little guy ought to easily have the bulk to be
able to show at halter against Quarter horses and
win, and with the pedigree behind this little guy
he should have a lot to offer as a performance
horse, too! His sire, Prescription for Lena (aka
Doc, at stud at Double S Ranch in Angleton, Texas), is an own son
of the APHA Supreme Reining Horse and ROM Jr
Working Cowhorse stallion Flying Little Lena and
grandson of both Doc's Prescription and Smart
Little Uno (by Smart Little Lena) with multiple
ROMs in working cowhorse in his close-up
pedigree, which also includes several reining and
cutting champions and even a few Hall of Fame
horses. This colt's pedigree is packed with
enough dynamite to make him a serious competitor
in the show ring!

This colt
should mature to be a large pony or small horse
in the 13 to 14 hand range, and has the pedigree,
conformation, and flashy markings to be a great
all-around prospect and potential herdsire.
Update:
Docster is
shedding off to a caramel shade of buckskin and
shaping up into a really nice, stocky colt with
spectacular conformation. He hasn't yet had any
training or fitting in these photos... This is
all natural! Docster is muscling up like a tank,
and squares up on his own much of the time. This
little guy is a serious halter prospect!

We'd really
like to see this one go to a show and breeding
home! Docster's older half-sister, SS Whisper Of Gold,
is owned by Reba Callahan and was recently shown by her
daughter Amy to win PtHA Reserve World Champion Pleasure Pony filly at
halter. Whisper was bred by Double S Ponies of Angleton, Texas, and is by our stallion's sire, JF Apollo Skyflight, and out of Docster's dam, our perlino mare String of Pearls, so needless to say we've been very interested in her show career! Docster
definitely has the potential to follow in his
older half-sister's footsteps, and is a deluxe halter
prospect that should be a terrific performance
horse when he matures.
