JC Silver Belle

Penny came to us in foal and we didn't have the opportunity to see the stallion she was bred to, so we really had very little idea of what to expect from her foal this year. We have been told she was bred to a strawberry roan stallion with four stockings and a bald face that might be a minimal overo, but we were also told to expect her to foal in July or August so that may or may not be completely accurate.

Imagine our surprise when she gifted us with a gorgeous silver dapple war bonnet tobiano filly with one blue eye and one particolored eye!

We've named her Silver Belle because she looks to be a silver just like her momma and we liked the name Belle for her... She's just starting to unfold and we haven't handled her a lot yet, but she's been a sweetheart when we did. We'll add more information about her as she matures.

More pictures! We've been so busy we still haven't had time to handle Belle much yet, but school is out and baseball season is ending, so we'll have a lot more time on the weekends soon. Working with the babies is a priority for this summer, we've got to get busy halterbreaking them before Doc gets any bigger. :-D

Belle is turning out of be a gorgeous stocky filly with a lot of athleticism and speed to go with her flashy markings. She should be a fantastic youth performance pony just like her dam, who has won too many buckles, saddles, and ribbons to count!
